Guided Reading
During guided reading, students will work in either small groups of individually on skills they are practicing. This is not a formal, leveled, time where students are placed in groups of low, medium, or high reading abilities. Students will be working on specific skills they need to master, either on their own, or with others who are learning the same skill. The students will set their goals, while my goal is to provide them with an engaging, fun, and worthwhile experience. Here are the skills they will practice during guided reading:

Quick Word Skills:
Students will master the following list of quick words in kindergarten. They will learn to read and write each word. If they finish this list, they will move on to first grade, second grade, or higher. The lists of those quick words are on each grade levels pages, or from me by request. Some favorite websites:
