Math Assessment
We will complete math assessments at the end of each quarter and then send home report cards. We will also assess students on a weekly basis to guide their instruction.
Minnesota Standards: By the end of kindergarten, students should be able to:
-count to 30 from memory -count backwards from 20 with a number chart -count objects using 1 to 1 correspondence to 20 -identify numbers to 30 -print numbers to 30 -represent numbers to 20 with objects -compare whole numbers with/out objects to 20 -find a number one more or less on number line -add and subtract numbers to 10 with objects -order whole numbers with/out objects to 20 -create a 2 part pattern -create a 3 part pattern -sort objects -identify 2D shapes -identify 3D shapes -use words to compare objects by length, size, weight, and position If students complete all of the above, they may also work on: -numbers to 100 -identifying coins -telling time to the hour -measurement -graphing -story problems |
Aimsweb Assessments:
Students will also complete one-minute timed tests referred to as Aimsweb Benchmarks. Students will have one minute to say the numbers. These scores will help us guide your child's instruction. |
